NUAYSA Soccer General Information

NUAYSA soccer is divided into three levels for the SUMMER season:

  • Classic  (Competitive Division) – U11 through U17
  • Recreation-Plus  (“Rec-Plus”) – U10
  • Recreational   (“Rec”) – U4, U6, U8

Summer Soccer Season - FAQ

 Rec (U4, U5-6, U7-8) soccer season 

  • Runs the last week in April through the 3rd week in June.
  • Practices are usually Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm.
  • No games - only intra-club scrimmages.

RecPlus (U10) soccer season 

  • Runs the last week in April through the 3rd week in June.  
  • Practices are usually Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00-7:00pm
  • There may be Saturday games against other clubs.

Classic (U11 through U17) soccer season 

  • Runs from April through the end of July if the team qualifies for playoffs.
  • Practice nights may vary.
  • Your coach will contact you with practice and game schedules.

Interested in coaching?

We are looking for coaches for the U4, U6, U8 and U10 levels.

  • Training will be provided by MYSA-licensed coaches. 
  • A committee of experienced coaches will provide practice plans and coaching tips for use at each practice.
  • Members of the coaching committee will be available before and after each practice to answer questions and provide coaching tips. 

 Coaching fulfills your volunteer requirement.

Classic Level Uniform Change

The NUAYSA soccer board approved the colors of Royal Blue and White as our club's new Classic (U11 through U17) uniform colors. They also approved the Under Armour - Fixture Soccer Uniform as the new uniform.

The Under Armour (UA)- Fixture Soccer Box Set includes a Home (White) Jersey, Away (Royal Blue) Jersey with White Stripes, 1 Pair of Matching (Royal Blue) UA Shorts, UA Royal Blue Socks , & UA White Socks.  Each Under Armour Box Set will be: $80 per player with printing.  


(These changes do NOT impact the U4 Rec through U10 RecPlus teams.)

2016 Summer Soccer Fees

Classic -  U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17 - $200 per player
RecPlus - U10 - $145 per player

Rec - U8 - $70 per player
Rec - U6 - $45 per player
Rec - U4 - $40 per player


Late Registration Fee

LATE REGISTRATION FEE: A late registration fee will be added to all players who register after the registration date for their age and level of play. There will be no exceptions to this late fee.

Late Fee: Classic = $50, Rec and RecPlus = $20

Registration Deadlines:
Classic -  U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17 - January 25, 2016
RecPlus - U10 - March 25, 2016
Rec - U4, U6, U8 - March 25, 2016

Registering Multiple Players

For summer soccer the maximum fees for one family are limited to $500 provided you register all players in your family at the same time.

To register more than one player in your family:

  • On the summary page, there is a link near the bottom to Register another Player.  Click on this link to ensure that all your family's players are registered at the same time.

Failure to register all players in your family at once will result in you being charged the full rate for each player which could result in you paying more than the $500 family limit. There will be NO REFUNDS if you fail to register all your players at one time.

Payment Plan available for ONLINE PAYMENT only

If you choose the online payment option for the Classic and/or RecPlus levels, you will have the option of enrolling in a payment plan. Per parent request, we've spread the balance due after the registration payment to three payments instead of two. Those paying offline are not able to enroll in a payment plan.

United Way Scholarship

United Way funds to offset your child's registration fee for summer soccer are available on a first come first serve basis due to limited funds available.  There are income requirements. Scholarships are available up to $225 per year (August 1 2015 to July 31 2016), per youth and/or 80% of the activity fees and 50% of equipment costs including uniform and shoes.

Registrants applying for a United Way scholarship must:

  1. Register ONLINE
  2. Select OFFLINE payment
  3. Complete the United Way Scholarship application found below.
  4. Mail the scholarship application, required paperwork to verify income and payment (20% of Registration fees) to:

Please include names of players on the check memo line.

Your application is not complete until we RECEIVE payment.

If you are applying for United Way Funds you do not have the option of going on a payment plan.

United Way Youth Activities Scholarship Application

Emergency Contact and Consent Form

Please print off, fill out and bring the Emergency Contact Information and Consent Form to the mandatory drop-in meeting.


Mandatory Drop-in Nights

MANDATORY drop-in nights for Summer Soccer parents:

  • Parents of Classic players on January 25
  • Parents of Rec and Rec Plus players on March 28
  • Location: New Ulm Civic Center
  • Time: 5:30-7:30pm

If you have players at both the Rec/RecPlus and Classic levels you must attend the January 25th meeting.

This drop-in is required for parents to:

  • Rec/RecPlus - Pick up your players Rec/RecPlus level jersey.
  • Sign up for volunteer hours.
  • Fill out a post-dated check to be cashed at the end of the season for any incomplete hours. The check will be destroyed once your hours have been fulfilled.
  • Turn in your 2016 Emergency Contact and Consent form if you haven't already done so.
  • Turn in copy of Birth Certificate if you have never done so.

If for any reason you are unable to attend the meeting(s), please immediately contact Lori Howard at (507) 354-0068.  

Your player will not be allowed to play unless a parent attends the drop-in meeting to complete all registration tasks.

Volunteer Hour Requirements

Number of volunteer hours needed to work per player:

  • U4 = 5 hours per player (or $50)
  • U6 through U17 = 10 hours per player (or $100)
  • Maximum of 15 hours per family (or $150)

Sign up for volunteer hours under the DIBS tab at the top of this web page. New items are being added regularly.  Check back often to find a volunteer opportunity you'd like to do. An email will be sent out once more opportunities are available.

BEFORE you register your child, you must verify the level at which they can play. This can be done by entering the birth date of each player you are registering.

Soccer Camps

We are encouraging our U10 through U17 players to attend the Coerver Soccer camp we are hosting at the MLC soccer complex.

The dates are June 20-24, 9-11:30

Cost $140

Camp activities include...

•    Fun game to warm-up and loosen up
•    Ball Mastery exercises – juggling, fast footwork, speed dribbling, cutting
•    Moves to beat opponent – “Move of the Day”
•    1 v 1 and 2 v 2 competition
•    Small Group Activity – passing, receiving, shooting, crossing, etc…
•    Small Sided Games in a World Cup Tournament format…
•    Each Player gets a T-Shirt and Camp Certificate.
•    Sportsmanship – Fair Play – great daily effort – purposeful practice – healthy competition – fun – are all key principals that are reinforced in our Day Camps

We are encouraging our U6 through U8 players to attend the British Soccer Camp.

The dates are June 6-10, 9:00am-Noon

Cost $133

British Soccer Camps provide players of all ages and abilities with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts.

Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and a daily tournament.

Equally important, the Challenger coaching staff provides your child with lessons in respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.

Camp programs include a free ball and shirt and a free British Soccer jersey for online registrations 45 days prior to camp!
